Conquer cravings with huevos toreados

Are you craving some exotic cuisine? Well, we have the recipe for the Matador’s Huevos Toreados right here to satisfy your cravings. It’s an adventure to prepare, and a joy to serve.

First, you’ll need a can of canola oil, one-fourth cup of finely chopped onion, a small garlic clove (minced please), a teaspoon of ground cumin, a teaspoon of dried oregano, one-fourth teaspoon of salt, a tablespoon of tomato paste, a tablespoon of roasted, diced green jalapeno chili pepper, a 14-oz can of diced tomatoes (preferably undrained), 4 6-inch corn tortillas, two teaspoons of butter, four large eggs, one-fourth cup of feta cheese (crumbled), one-fourth cup of coarsely chopped fresh cilantro, and four lime wedges.

First, heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, and cook the onions and garlic for five minutes. Once the onions and garlic are softened, stir them with cumin, oregano, salt, jalapeno chili peppers, and tomato paste for a minute. Add tomatoes with juice and lower the heat to medium-low. Let it simmer for three minutes. When it’s slight thickened, remove the skillet from the heat.

Bake the tortillas in 400 degree Fahrenheit until they’re crispy (not burned). For the eggs, cook them in better to create either sunny-side ups, over-easies, or over-hards. That should take around five minutes. Don’t forget to sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper.

To prepare, spoon the sauce on the tortillas, and top with a fried egg. That should be about four servings.
